A 90 minute introduction to Mindfulness course for Educators with Natalie Anderson, as Mindfulness Educator and Founder of Open Circle Wellbeing, as we explore a range of engaging and interactive mindfulness techniques for educators to use with children.
These techniques will encourage a state of mind that focuses attention on The present moment, all the while having awareness of one’s feelings and physical sensations. Alongside this we will explore the ways in which these reflections can shape our actions.
When children and Educators participate together in these calming sensory-based experiences, they will learn ways to enhance the children’s creative engagement with the world around them and the children will develop the skills to reflect on their emotional responses.
Through the practice of mindfulness children can build stronger communication and relationships between peers, adults and the community around them.
This workshop provides Educators with simple ideas on how to introduce mindfulness practices into classroom routines and everyday life in a meaningful way.
